This roundtable is organized by the Gulf Research Center Foundation. It takes place in the preamble of the Saudi Arabia UPR taking place in the framework of the 25th session of the OHCHR Human Rights Council.
It will be moderated by Dr Abdulaziz Sager, Chairman of the Gulf Research Center, Jeddah, who will provide an overview of recent developments concerning human rights in the kingdom. The presentation itself will focus on the role of women, initiatives on the protection of the child and issues related to the labor market within the context of human rights. Following the presentations, there will be open discussion with questions and answers involving the audience.
