Organized by Jusoor International for Media and Development, in partnership with the Geneva Press Club, this panel will highlight the central role of education in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in conflict-affected and under-resourced regions. The discussion will emphasize the vital connection between education, the promotion and implementation of human rights, and its direct impact on community resilience and civic empowerment.
Speakers will present concrete education strategies to combat violence, discrimination, and exclusion in crisis-affected settings. Case studies from Bangladesh, Benin, and Syria will illustrate both challenges and practical solutions implemented on the ground. The panel will also explore the intersection of education, peacebuilding, and institutional resilience, stressing how education contributes to crisis prevention and post-crisis recovery efforts.
