Jusoor International for Media and Development, in collaboration with Geneva press club,
will host an essential panel discussion focused on safeguarding journalists reporting from
conflict zones. In an era where freedom of the press is under increasing attack, and journalists
face unprecedented dangers while reporting from war-torn areas. This event brings together key
voices from international organizations, media professionals, and security experts. The panel
aims to provide valuable insights into the risks and challenges journalists face and to explore
solutions for enhancing their protection on the ground.

Event Highlights:

  • Reception (2:30 – 3:00 PM): The event will open with a networking reception offering an
    informal space for attendees to connect.
  • Panel Discussion (3:00 – 4:30 PM): The panel discussion will include insights on the current
    state of journalist safety, the key challenges faced by reporters in conflict zones, effective
    measures for protection, and real-life experiences shared by those on the front lines.
  • Follow-Up Meet and Greet (4:30 – 5:00 PM): After the panel, there will be a 30-minute meet
    and greet, allowing attendees to engage directly with panelists and foster further discussion on
    the important topic of journalist safety.
