Following last year’s acceptance by the United Nations Human Rights Committee (UNHRC) of the petition from former Brazilian President Lula and the denial from the Brazilian Government, Lula’s legal team will be submitting a final response on his behalf, outlining further abuses committed against him by the Brazilian Justice System. Human Rights Barrister Geoffrey Robertson QC and Lula’s legal team will be speaking at the press conference to update the media on the exhaustion of the domestic rights of Lula in Brazil and the human rights attacks on Lula, following the damaging UNHRC’s Review on Brazil and the urgent work that needs to be done to rectify the country’s human rights and judicial system.
