We must save “Planet Aqua”! Jeremy Rifkin, one of the most popular thinkers of our time, an economist, essayist, political advisor, and American activist, author of around twenty bestsellers translated worldwide, is releasing his new groundbreaking book, Planet Aqua, on September 19th with Buchet Chastel publishers.

The Geneva press club invites the media, sustainability and ecology professionals, academics, and the general public to an online meeting with Jeremy Rifkin ahead of the release of the French translation of Planet Aqua.

As the European Union negotiates an urgent “Blue Deal” to complement the ecological “Green Deal,” Jeremy Rifkin calls on us to recognize that we are living on Planet Aqua. With this book, he takes us on a new journey toward a future where we must rethink every aspect of our lives—our relationship with nature, our way of governing society, our understanding of economic life, the education of our children, and even our orientation in time and space. This will be the next phase of human evolution: let’s rename our planet “Planet Aqua” and learn to adapt once again to the waters of life.

Based on solid multidisciplinary research, this major new work by one of the most influential intellectuals aims to redefine the meaning of our existence on Planet Aqua.

Discussion (in English) led by Isabelle Falconnier, Director of the Geneva Press Club.

The discussion will be followed by a Q&A session (oral or written).
