« Leaving no one behind : Leading with equity from the community to the hospital through a comprehensive UHC strategy »
In our global push towards UHC, UN member states and the global development community have adopted a mandate focused on ensuring that individuals and communities receive the health care they need without suffering financial hardship. In order to ensure that health care is a human right, UHC delivery strategies must be comprehensive, encompass the full extent of the health system, and reach the poorest and most vulnerable.
Join us in learning from patients, health care workers, policy makers, and academic thought leaders who have led inspiring country-led efforts to deliver quality, integrated services from the community level to the hospital in low-income settings. As this discussion will highlight, we must take full advantage of this critical moment in global solidarity by addressing some of the most significant gaps in financing and service delivery for UHC, including NCDs and injuries, mental health conditions, and surgical and emergency care.
