The digital age, and even more so the rapid evolution of AI, favors the mass production and dissemination of communications designed to manipulate opinions. Journalists and media companies find themselves urgently challenged, as much in their economic survival as in their fundamental role within society. How can the press and media combat fake news and deepfake? In a world which, with the massive arrival of AI, risks being dominated by alternative information and other manipulations of opinion, how can we restore value and visibility to verified information, investigative work and journalism? How can we explain fake news to different audiences? Is it up to everyone, not just journalists, to become fake news hunters?
