In May 2024, following the occupation of the Uni Mail building by the Student Coordination for Palestine (CEP-UNIGE), the Rectorate commissioned a scientific committee to reflect on the role of universities in public debate. The committee’s work focused on two main areas: firstly, institutional positioning in the face of national and international political issues; secondly, the question of suspending or terminating collaboration agreements and scientific partnerships.
This Town Hall Meeting will provide an opportunity to present the key elements of the report, explain its context and development process, and discuss it with the university community and the general public.
The report is available on a dedicated page of the UNIGE website.
