Launch of the Arshad Sharif Award: Exiled and Unsilenced

On the anniversary of the killing of Pakistani journalist Arshad Sharif in Kenya in 2022, EuroPak launches the Arshad Sharif Award for Journalism in Geneva, calling for accountability and the protection of journalists. Imran Riaz Khan and Sabir Shakir, both now living in exile, will speak about press freedom, censorship and the safety of journalists forced to work from abroad. The event offers international media first-hand testimony and the chance to ask questions on a pressing human rights issue.
