Kashmir, nestled in the majestic Himalayan mountain peaks, is witnessing the worst floods in a century, where cities and towns on mountain peaks are submerged in water. No internet and cellphones. The Indian government is busy evacuating its citizens and foreign tourists. An international intervention is required. Simultaneously, Kashmiri college-age students in Indian universities are beaten up regularly. It is a new phenomenon that started in 2014 and needs to be stopped. International pressure on Indian government is required to end this trend.
