“This press conference is organized by The Egyptian Revolutionary Council-ERC, the international body for individuals and organizations that believes in democracy and a civil society and rejects the Military Coup in Egypt.

While the Egyptian government promotes itself as legitimate , thousands of peaceful citizens have been killed and tens of thousands have been detained unlawfully, peaceful student protests have been fired at and universities have been invaded by police and security forces.

The press conference aims to lay down the reality of the situation in Egypt and call for an international campaign to protect Egyptian civilians and will call on the UN to investigate the crimes being committed against Egyptian citizens.”
