Despite countless announcements, the COP26 conference in Glasgow, which ended this weekend, has disappointed countless countries, including Switzerland. North-South solidarity did not materialize. Considered as the most vulnerable to global warming, developing countries did not get the support they were hoping for to carry out their energy transition. What impact will Glasgow have on development programs in the South? How will NGOs reposition their work? Is the path taken by Switzerland of compensation agreements with the countries of the South the right one? Representatives of NGOs, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and an expert in finance and development, some of whom have just returned from Glasgow, will answer these questions during our debate on Tuesday, November 16.
