The MUTED Platform, an independent digital documentary initiative aimed at amplifying silenced voices around the world, will hold its international launch on 24 September 2025, at the Geneva Press Club.
MUTED is an international human rights platform that brings forward invisible realities related to freedom of expression, discrimination, migration, collective memory and identity in different parts of the world.
The platform views documentary cinema not only as a media tool, but as a universal language of testimony and solidarity. MUTED aims to make forgotten or muted stories visible again, turning every documentary into an act of witnessing. In a time when human rights narratives are increasingly silenced or pushed to the margins, MUTED Platform believes that creating a dedicated and independent space for those stories has become urgently necessary.
During the launch event, a special human rights documentary programme will also be presented. As part of this programme, several films examining the impact of SLAPP cases on civil society and media will be screened. Event Details
