The International Probono Legal Services Association (“IPLSA”) invites you to a press conference at the Geneva Press Club, where we will reflect on our accomplishments over the past year and provide an insightful update on the current political landscape in Hong Kong.

This event will also introduce an upcoming side event organized in collaboration with Justice for All International, focusing on the critical impact of national security laws on humanitarian issues. We will highlight specific cases occurring across Europe that have largely gone unnoticed, shedding light on the urgent need for attention and action.

Our panel of distinguished speakers will include:

• Mr Junius Ho, the Founder of IPLSA and a prominent member of the Legislative Council. With a legal career spanning over three decades, Mr Ho was admitted as a solicitor in 1988 and recently as a lawyer in the Greater Bay Area. He previously served as the President of the Law Society of Hong Kong, bringing extensive experience and insight to our discussions.

• Ms Priscilla Leung, a well-respected politician and barrister, is also a professor at the City University of Hong Kong’s School of Law. Known for her active participation in matters concerning education, women’s rights, and community development, Ms Leung will provide valuable perspectives on governance and public policy in Hong Kong.

• Dr Henry Ho, founder and chairman of the One Country Two Systems Youth Forum, holds a Doctor of Laws from Peking University and two master’s degrees from the London School of Economics and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He has significant experience in local think tanks and the HKSAR Government, enriching our dialogue with his expertise.

• Mr Sharof Azizov, Executive Director of Justice pour Tous Internationale, is a distinguished consultant in international human rights litigation with over 25 years of experience, including a decade at the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights. His work focuses on safeguarding the rights of vulnerable groups, and he will share insights into the international implications of national security laws.

We look forward to your participation in this important event, where we aim to foster dialogue and raise awareness on pressing issues affecting our communities.
