What impact will Donald Trump’s election have on International Geneva? Will the capital of human rights become a target in the new U.S. president’s fight against the multilateral system, embodied by his “America First” slogan?

During his first term, several organizations came under fire, starting with the World Meteorological Organization and its Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). With the United States providing more than a quarter of the United Nations’ budget, are the concerns of UN agencies and the WTO legitimate?

To address this question, three experts will exchange views at the Geneva Press Club: former U.S. ambassador and Geneva-based lawyer Charles Adams, Le Temps journalist Stéphane Bussard, and Daniel Warner, a Swiss-American political scientist and former deputy director of the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID) in Geneva.
