Worldwide Human Rights perspectives: Needs improvment at the global level

The Human Rights Council and the General Assembly must address the grave human rights violations for peoples globally.  Denial of the right of peoples includes high unemployment, denied access to health, reduced protection of high incarceration rates and a reduced level of protection for women and children’s rights. The consequences includes a drop in GPD resulting in economic penalties. Climate change causes more floods, diseases and famine, including the environmental issues that affect subsistence. The OHCHR and the Special Procedures of the Human Rights Council recommend addressing these violations, including non-discrimination. Can the OHCHR and Special Procedures recommendations afford to be tabled or ignored?

This event is organized in collaboration with the International Human Rights Association of American Minorities (IHRAAM), International Commission for Human Rights (ICHR) and the Indigenous Peoples and Nations Coalition (IPNC).
