18 April marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of Green Cross International (GCI), the nongovernmental organization addressing the inter-related challenges of environmental degradation, insecurity and poverty.

To mark the 20th anniversary, GCI will hold a press conference to: 

• Outline the developments and failures in the global response to the challenges facing the world during the past two decades, and actions urgently needed to tackle these threats.
• Detail major activities Green Cross is staging this year with the United Nations, City and Cantonal authorities in Geneva, and other partners.
