Unionists denounce violations of Human Rights in Algeria
A group of Algerian independent trade unionists who is attending the International Labour Conference this year, with the support of international and Swiss trade unions, denounce the violations of the human rights of workers seeking to exercise their right to join and form independent unions. For trade unionists and their international supporters, the ILO must effectively follow-up its deliberations and decisions in order to ensure that the Algerian Government respects its obligation to allow workers to exercise their fundamental rights – the task for which the ILO was created.
